Guido Pualu is the man behind the Metropolitan Museum’s Masks for the Alexander McQueen and Schiaparelli & Prada, and the new PUNK: Chaos to Couture exhibits.
Constructed out of linen, leather, lace and a variety of other materials, these masks custom made, added an enticing and fascinating aura to the exhibits. The elaborate masks complimented the iconic items the mannequins wore. When asked, would McQueen have approved? “I think so, he was always in my mind.”
Designed to complement the fashion, I believe these masks really stole both the McQueen & Prada shows, and and can’t wait to see what he created for the PUNK exhibit. These masks should have their own expose, and when they do, I’ll be first in line to see it.
